A Christmas Spectacular: It is in Giving that We Receive 2017 Show

 

Arrival:

Arrive 45 minutes prior to showtime. Recital will be held at Stillwater Junior High’s Theater, 523 West Marsh Street, Stillwater, MN 55082. Once you enter the school, please follow the signs to the dressing rooms. We will have staff assisting with directions. Please drop-off your child(ren) backstage with the appropriate chaperone – a sign will be posted in the dressing room with your child’s class day, time and song title(s).

 

Show Date & Time:

Our recital will be held on Saturday December 9th at 6:30PM.

Important Recital/Show Information:

Please be ON TIME to recitals/shows – see above for details. Please make sure that dancers bring along a healthy snack (nothing messy please), water and reading material for backstage while they wait to perform. Please be sure that your dancer has EVERYTHING with them for the shows – IPAC Christmas tee, costume accessories

(if applicable), dance shoes, black pants, black socks, hair binders, bobby pins, safety pins, hairspray, comb, portable mirror, and A BIG SMILE. Remember, no spray glitter is allowed, only roll-on skin glitter that adheres to the skin. At IPAC, we want kids to be kids, so please refrain from applying heavy make-up – a little blush and clear/light pink lip gloss is plenty. Students ARE NOT allowed to watch the show in the auditorium after they dance/or exit. Everyone is to stay backstage for the duration of the show, as they all perform final bow/curtain call.

Dressing Area:

Please follow the designated signs to the dressing area. Since there are no costume changes for this show, boys and girls will be in the same dressing area. It is our duty together to represent IPAC in a good way – please help CLEAN UP after your child when you pick them up so the dressing area is clean after the performance.

 

Security at the Recitals:

Parents, you must check your child in with the appropriate class team/parent chaperone – a sign will be posted in the dressing room with your child’s class day, time and song title(s). To keep it from becoming congested backstage, we ask that only one parent/guardian brings their dancer/student backstage for check-in. At the end of the show, one parent/guardian will have to come and pick up their dancer and check out with the class chaperone. Remember, we are in a large public school, so the kids must remain in the room until a parent comes to pick them up – this is for the safety of the students of IPAC.

 

During the Show:

Students are not allowed out of the dressing room for the duration of the show.   This is for the safety of all.

 

Seating at the Show:

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each show with reserved seating.

 

Length of Show:

The show will be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes in length. There is a 10-minute intermission where refreshments and dancer gifts will be sold.

 

Dancer Gifts: We will have all-new IPAC apparel on sale at the shows! Just in time for the holidays!! We will also have IPAC candy cane grams on sale too!

 

Tickets:

Tickets are $16 each, children 3 and under are free (if sitting on lap). Tickets go on sale at the center Wednesday, November 1st and online at tututix.com/inspirationdance. We will have any remaining tickets on sale at dress rehearsal from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Cash or check only at rehearsals. We will not be able to “charge accounts” from the theater. We are NOT able to reserve or set aside tickets. Be sure to get yours early.

 

Courtesy Note: Please be aware that there will be no entrance/exit opportunities into/out of the theater while dancers/students are performing on stage. It is very distracting having people enter and exit the theater while students are performing. Please inform your friends and family. We are making it mandatory that people stay seated during performances this year. Just as a courtesy to the dancers and fellow patrons of the theater.

 

Toys for Tots Donations:

We will be hosting a Toys for Tots drive during the month of November at the center, and at the shows! Please bring in an unused, unopened toy of your choice to donate. We appreciate your kind generosity and support in IPAC’s donation efforts!
