A Christmas Spectacular! Dress Rehearsal @ Stillwater Junior High School
Dec 8 @ 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

DRESS REHEARSAL – Order will be posted late November.

Arrival:

Arrive 15 minutes prior to you assigned rehearsal time. Rehearsal will be held at Stillwater Junior High’s Theater, 523 West Marsh Street, Stillwater, MN 55082. Please enter the front doors. Upon entrance, you will see IPAC’s signs directing you to the theater.

 

Rehearsal Date & Time:

All students are required to be at dress rehearsal. Our rehearsal will be held on Friday, December 8th from 4:30PM to 8:00PM.  Please come in your costume: your IPAC Christmas tee, and black, leg-length pants with coordinating black socks for the dress rehearsal. Please make sure that dancers/students bring along a snack, water and reading material. The dancers/students will be sitting in the auditorium and they can watch the other students performing while they wait their turn to rehearse (ages 3-6 will finish first).

 

PARENTS: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your rehearsal timeslot. Please plan to possible stay 5 minutes past your timeslot(s). Thank you!

Important Rehearsal Information:

Each class will have the opportunity to practice their dance 1-2 times on stage. Please be EARLY to rehearsal so we can stay on schedule. Hair is not required for dress rehearsal, but all hair accessories are required (hats and hair pieces secured with bobby pins!). You may take photographs and video during rehearsal. Make sure that you have all of your necessary belongings for the Dress Rehearsal –IPAC Christmas tee, black floor length pants, black socks, hair accessories, shoes, brush, little mirror, props (if necessary), etc.

 

During Rehearsal:

Parents, we encourage you to stay because your dancer(s) may be done earlier than the end time (ages 3-6 classes will be done earlier). However, if you must drop-off and go, please be sure to be back by 7:30PM. We will have IPAC apparel available for purchase at the rehearsals this year – just in time for the holidays!

Backstage Parent Volunteers for Showtime:

If you’re interested in helping backstage versus watching the show, please let us know. Please email, call or Miss Ruth at the front desk if you are able to help out. Thanks in advance for your help! Your job will be to line up the dancers, make sure that things run smoothly, and a quick clean up at the end of the night to make sure that no one left anything behind. As a way of saying thanks, we will give you a $10 IPAC gift certificate!

A Christmas Spectacular! Dance Recital @ Stillwater Junior High School

A Christmas Spectacular: It is in Giving that We Receive 2017 Show

 

Arrival:

Arrive 45 minutes prior to showtime. Recital will be held at Stillwater Junior High’s Theater, 523 West Marsh Street, Stillwater, MN 55082. Once you enter the school, please follow the signs to the dressing rooms. We will have staff assisting with directions. Please drop-off your child(ren) backstage with the appropriate chaperone – a sign will be posted in the dressing room with your child’s class day, time and song title(s).

 

Show Date & Time:

Our recital will be held on Saturday December 9th at 6:30PM.

Important Recital/Show Information:

Please be ON TIME to recitals/shows – see above for details. Please make sure that dancers bring along a healthy snack (nothing messy please), water and reading material for backstage while they wait to perform. Please be sure that your dancer has EVERYTHING with them for the shows – IPAC Christmas tee, costume accessories

(if applicable), dance shoes, black pants, black socks, hair binders, bobby pins, safety pins, hairspray, comb, portable mirror, and A BIG SMILE. Remember, no spray glitter is allowed, only roll-on skin glitter that adheres to the skin. At IPAC, we want kids to be kids, so please refrain from applying heavy make-up – a little blush and clear/light pink lip gloss is plenty. Students ARE NOT allowed to watch the show in the auditorium after they dance/or exit. Everyone is to stay backstage for the duration of the show, as they all perform final bow/curtain call.

Dressing Area:

Please follow the designated signs to the dressing area. Since there are no costume changes for this show, boys and girls will be in the same dressing area. It is our duty together to represent IPAC in a good way – please help CLEAN UP after your child when you pick them up so the dressing area is clean after the performance.

 

Security at the Recitals:

Parents, you must check your child in with the appropriate class team/parent chaperone – a sign will be posted in the dressing room with your child’s class day, time and song title(s). To keep it from becoming congested backstage, we ask that only one parent/guardian brings their dancer/student backstage for check-in. At the end of the show, one parent/guardian will have to come and pick up their dancer and check out with the class chaperone. Remember, we are in a large public school, so the kids must remain in the room until a parent comes to pick them up – this is for the safety of the students of IPAC.

 

During the Show:

Students are not allowed out of the dressing room for the duration of the show.   This is for the safety of all.

 

Seating at the Show:

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each show with reserved seating.

 

Length of Show:

The show will be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes in length. There is a 10-minute intermission where refreshments and dancer gifts will be sold.

 

Dancer Gifts: We will have all-new IPAC apparel on sale at the shows! Just in time for the holidays!! We will also have IPAC candy cane grams on sale too!

 

Tickets:

Tickets are $16 each, children 3 and under are free (if sitting on lap). Tickets go on sale at the center Wednesday, November 1st and online at tututix.com/inspirationdance. We will have any remaining tickets on sale at dress rehearsal from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Cash or check only at rehearsals. We will not be able to “charge accounts” from the theater. We are NOT able to reserve or set aside tickets. Be sure to get yours early.

 

Courtesy Note: Please be aware that there will be no entrance/exit opportunities into/out of the theater while dancers/students are performing on stage. It is very distracting having people enter and exit the theater while students are performing. Please inform your friends and family. We are making it mandatory that people stay seated during performances this year. Just as a courtesy to the dancers and fellow patrons of the theater.

 

Toys for Tots Donations:

We will be hosting a Toys for Tots drive during the month of November at the center, and at the shows! Please bring in an unused, unopened toy of your choice to donate. We appreciate your kind generosity and support in IPAC’s donation efforts!

IPAC’s Giving Back Holiday Music Recital; Chautauqua Theater at Mahtomedi High School- join us for holiday fun! Support Toys for Tots donations by bringing in an unwrapped, unused gift to donate.  Each recital is approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes in length 🙂

2017 HOLIDAY MUSIC RECITAL

 

Arrival:

Arrive 30 minutes prior to recital time. The Holiday Recital will be held at Mahtomedi High School, Chautauqua theatre located at 8000 75th St N, Stillwater, MN 55082. Once you enter the building, IPAC staff will guide you to the ticket and seating area. Your child can meet his/her teacher in the backstage area.

 

Recital Date & Time:

IPAC’s 2017 Holiday Music Recital will be held on Thursday, December 21st at 6:00pm.

 

Tickets:

Tickets are $8 each; and are on sale @ tututix.com/inspirationdance. Children 3 and under are free. Cash or check only at the venue before the show. Get your tickets early!

 

Important Recital Information:

Please be ON TIME to recital – see above for details. Please be sure that your child has EVERYTHING with them for the recital – any sheet music, instrument, A BIG SMILE, etc., etc. Students are allowed to watch the show in the audience AFTER they are finished performing. Students are to stay seated and watch in the audience until IPAC staff announces their name. We do ask that students dress up for the recital, as this is a formal event that showcases all their hard work and polished musical pieces!

 

Seating at the Show:

Seating is reserved. Seating will begin 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the show.

 

Length of Show:

The recital will be approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in length. We will have a complimentary mini-reception after the show. Mingle with the teachers, students, families and enjoy a cup of coffee, punch, and some delicious cookies with us.

 

Videotaping/Photography:

Videotaping and photography is permitted during the recital. Feel free to snap pics and get live footage of the performances!

IPAC strives to gives you more and the best!  We offer one full week of mid-year assessments prepared by each one of our instructors for each and every student at IPAC, another way we go above and beyond to provide the best in arts education for your family!

*And, come in for Skills Testing conferences on Sunday, January  21st  to meet with our instructors.  Sign-ups come in mid-December for time slots.  FREE for all to attend, a wonderful giveback and feedback for our students here at IPAC as they learn, grow and expand!

Skills Testing Conferences! @ Inspiration Performing Arts Center

Join us for Skills Testing conferences at IPAC – you and your child(ren) can come in, and receive a 10-minute time slot to discuss their progress, mid-year assessment, key growth areas with their IPAC instructor.  This is a wonderful opportunity for you, as a parent, to learn more, and encourage your child along their way of learning the arts at IPAC!  It is completely free, our giveback to you and your child, as we support all of our students here at IPAC, and want to provide a platform for growth.

Have A Heart Food Drive and Valentine’s Bring-A-Friend Week!

Our Valentine’s Bring-A-Friend week at IPAC is FULL of LOVE, as we celebrate giving back to our local food shelves all week long through our IPAC Have-a-Heart Campaign!  Bring in an non-perishable food item, your favorite friend or two to join you in class, treats/valentines to share with your class, if you wish!!  Last year, we raised over 270LBS of food, this year we want to reach a NEW goal of donating 500lbs or more to our Local Mahtomedi Food Shelf.
